The Korean martial art of Tang Soo Do (literally "The Way of the Chinese Hand") is a system of empty-handed self-defense techniques with roots in traditional Chinese and Korean arts, including Shotokan, Taekkyeon, Subak, and Wushu. It was founded in 1945 by Grandmaster Hwang Kee during the Japanese occupation of Korea.
